Rafal Glanda, 29

Rafal “Roof” Glanda, age 29, of Easton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 5, 2016.
Born in Rzeszow, Poland on April 4, 1986, he was the dear and devoted son of Andrzej and Wieslawa (Synos) Glanda of Easton.
At the age of four, his family moved to the United States where they first settled in Dorchester. They later moved to Holbrook and then to Easton where he made his home for the past sixteen years.
Rafal was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. While in high school he was a member of the football and basketball teams. He went on to graduate from Suffolk University, receiving his Bachelor Degrees in both Global Business and Marketing.
Rafal was an extremely smart young man. He had the biggest smile that could light up a room and he touched the lives of all who knew him.
He was his mother’s miracle baby, who loved her son more than life itself, and he affectionately called her Mimi. Rafal was unconditionally loved by his family and is now at peace.
Roof was an avid and knowledgeable sports fan whose favorite teams to cheer on were the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics. He loved the great outdoors, which included fishing, camping, trips to the beach and a passion for snowboarding.
His other interests included taking his family dogs for walks at a neighboring farm in Easton, and trips to Boston to visit the North End, Boston Common and his favorite college bar.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his adoring sister and best friend Malgosia Glanda of Mansfield. He is also survived by his loving maternal grandparents, his paternal grandfather and his dear nephew Andrzej Glanda of Mansfield.
His funeral mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, February 12th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be held privately at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visiting hours have been omitted.
