WORCESTER___Nellie F. (Marcinkus) Zelesky, 80, of Worcester, died after a long illness Saturday June 18 in Beaumont Extended Care Facility, 3 Lyman St., Westborough. Her husband, Adolph J. Zelesky predeceased her in 1981.
She leaves six children, Carolyn A. wife of James Urban, Christine M. wife of Donald Woods and Paul R. Zelesky all of Southborough; Vincent J. Zelesky and his wife Aileen and John J. Zelesky and his wife Ellen all of Worcester; and James R. Zelesky and his wife Nancy of Hiram, Maine; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Peter and Rosalie (Babonis) Marcinkus, a sister, Patronella Witt and two brothers, John Marcy and Joseph Marcinkus. She was born and raised in Worcester and was a graduate of Commerce High School.
Mrs. Zelesky was employed many years as a junior accountant at New England Electric Co., retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Catherine of Sweden Church and previously was a longtime member of Our Lady of Vilna Church. Nellie was a caregiver, her life was her family.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday June 21 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 1 Wiser Ave. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
