Obituary

Marjorie (Castor) Doyle, a resident of Virginia Beach and formerly of Charlestown, MA entered into eternal life on February 3, 2016 at home, peacefully and embraced in love. She was 55 years of age.

Marjorie was born in Boston on November 7, 1960, a daughter of the late John J. Castor and Mary A. (Herlihy) Castor. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Julie Billiart High School in 1978. She worked at Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation in Boston and was a dedicated employee of Terry-Peterson Residential Companies in Virginia Beach for 30 years.

Marjorie was born to be a mom. She guided her girls with a supportive, caring and gentle hand. Marjorie loved life. She was a fun, adventurous, up-for-anything kind of gal. Marjorie was a voracious reader, music lover, and could dance with the best of them. Marjorie remained an avid fan of her Patriots, Bruins and Red Sox. Marjorie never lost her Boston accent.

Marjorie is the loving and devoted mother of Casey and Caroline Doyle of Virginia Beach. She is the beloved sister of Jane Castor of Revere, and Philip Castor and his wife Kerry of West Roxbury, and the late Jackie, Nancy, and Marie Castor. She is the loving aunt of John Feeney, Zara and Cory Doyle, and Philip, Jackie, and Caitlyn Castor. Marjorie is the life-long, loyal friend of Shirley Doyle, Teri Muscarella, and Minnie McDonald.

Relatives and friends are invited to join in a Celebration of Marjorie’s Life on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown.
