Robert R. Valentino passed away at home in the company of his loving family. He was 88. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Anthony and Celia (DeNapoli) Valentino. Robert worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Middlesex County for many years in Cambridge. A Medford resident for most of his life he lived the past several years in Marlborough. He enjoyed time with his family and friends. He and his wife had wonderful times together especially while wintering in Ft. Myers, Florida.
The beloved husband of Doris (Lucia) Valentino with whom he spent many happy years, he was a devoted stepfather to Stephen Bower of Haverhill, Daryn Bower and his husband Jonathan M. Eber of Framingham, Earl Bower of Haverhill, Karen Felizardo of Taunton and was a dear grandfather to 3 grandchildren. He was the loving brother of Blanche M. Di Napoli of Chestnut Hill and her late husband Anthony R. DiNapoli and the late Ferdinand L. Valentino and his surviving wife Virginia E. Valentino of Marstons Mills. He is also lovingly survived by nieces Lisa A. DiNapoli and Bianca M. DiNapoli. He also leaves his dog Sugar and predeceased by dog Brandy and cat Bobby.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, February 11th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 8 PM. Interment private.
