Helene Simonne (Rivard) Giguere, 75, died Monday, February 1, 2016, at The Holiday Retirement Home in Manville. She was the wife of the late Henry Lucien Giguere, whom she married April 4, 1959. She was born in Woonsocket, January 7, 1941, the eldest daughter of the late Damase Elie Rivard and Aurore Liliane (Tellier) Rivard. She was a lifelong Woonsocket resident, spending many years in East Woonsocket.
Mrs. Giguere worked as an order picker at the CVS Distribution Center for twenty five years until her retirement in 2010. While employed by CVS, she made many great friends and memories.
Mrs. Giguere is survived by two sons; Marc Giguere of Wrentham, Allen Giguere of Kissimee, FL, eldest grandchild and adopted son Jonathan Giguere of Woonsocket, three other grandchildren; Angela, Ashley, and Bryan Giguere, three great grandchildren; Zachary Giguere, Marissa Wroten, and Jaise Giguere, and two sisters; Claire Morin and Lucille Hoole. She was also the mother of the late Brian Giguere.
Helene will be remembered and loved forever by all of her family and friends.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home and were private. Internment was in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA.
