John “Jack” Williams, age 81, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 5, 2016.
Jack was survived by his wife of 60 years, Louise M. (Bennett) Williams and his children, Karen M. Capone and her husband David of Harts Location, NH, John R. Williams and his wife Donna of Whitman and James D. Williams and his wife Junko of Woodbridge, VA. He also leaves three grandchildren, Kelci, Gregory and Cody Williams, three nephews and many grand nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his sister, Lillian T. Powers.
John was born in Somerville, grew up in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School in 1953 before moving to Weymouth in 1986. He was an Inventory Manager for Sigma Instruments for 38 years, retiring in in 1990.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours for Jack on Thursday, February 11 from 4-7 PM at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jack’s memory to the Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370-1055.
