James Toomey, USMC (Ret) of Melbourne, FL, William Toomey of St. Augustine, FL, Mary Ellen Toomey-MacLean of Dedham, and Joanne Toomey of Dedham. Dear uncle of Mary Lou Smith of Norwell. Also survived by 2 loving grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of the late James and Robert Toomey and Marie McCarthy. Proud Vet. WW-II, U.S.M.C. 36 year employee of the MBTA. A talented and accomplished artist and a true family man who loved his wife dearly. Gus was a religious man who was proud of his Irish heritage. Member of the DAV, American Legion and the Boston Police Emerald Society. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Dedham at 9:00. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8pm. Relatives & friends invited. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne @ 11:15.
