James Andrew Tilley, 21, of Windham NH, died in the early morning hours of Feb. 5, 2016.
Born Aug. 26, 1994, in Methuen MA., he was the son of James and Christine Tilley and the brother of Kristen V. Tilley. James was the grandson of Stella Eubanks and Kenneth Duke and Jim and Marilyn Tilley.
James will be remembered as Salutatorian of Windham High School’s first graduating class and for playing piano at Sunday morning church services.
A Senior at the University of Massachusetts Commonwealth Honors College in Amherst, James was recently accepted into the top ranked doctoral program in physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and offered a teaching assistantship there.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday February 10, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service was held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Windham Bible Chapel, 14 Cobbetts Pond Rd., Windham. Interment followed the service at the New Plains Cemetery in Windham.
