Dennis G. Trayers III age 83 of canton passed away February 5th at the Norwood Hospital. Born in Boston, he was a lifelong resident of Canton who attended St. John’s School, B.C. High and Northeastern University. He worked for many years for the Deaconess Hospital in Boston in the Maintenance Department before retiring. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 2095 in Canton. Beloved husband of the late Madonna R. “Rita” (Doody). Father of Mary Summerhayes of Sharon, Dennis G. Trayers IV of Canton, Brian R. Trayers of Canton, Katherine L. Burke of S. Boston and Falmouth, Michael A. Trayers of Ashland, Christine L. Grassia of Foxboro, Patricia J. Timilty of Canton, Elizabeth A. Wohwend of FL Maureen R. Trayers of Canton and the late David J. Trayers. Brother of Robert Trayers of Canton, Ann Cushing of Canton and Helen Frey of Plainville. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wednesday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Thursday morning at 10:30. Burial St. Mary’s cemetery, Canton.
