Pauline (Pereira) Downey, 80, of Wareham, formerly of Tiverton, RI passed away peacefully in her sleep at Tremont Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Francis B. Downey.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Manuel Pereira and Rose (Marceline) Viveiros, she lived in Tiverton for many years before moving to Wareham.
Mrs. Downey was an accomplished interior decorator.
She was a devoted mother who had a big heart and was very generous.
She is survived by two sons, Brian F. Downey of Cranston, RI, and Robert R. Fournier of Tiverton; a brother, Manuel Pereira of Swansea; a sister, Helen Pildade of Fall River; a grandson, Nathan Fournier; and nieces and nephews.
