FALL RIVER - Agostinho Ferreira Medeiros, 69, of 6 Oregon St. Fall River, died Saturday in Fall River at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Maria Gilberta (Pedro) Medeiros. He is survived by: 1 Son: Augustine M. Medeiros of Fall River, 3 Daughters: Dorothy G. Medeiros of Fall River, Sandra K. Lavoie of Westport, and Elizabeth Medeiros of Fall River, 3 Grandchildren: Kristen B. Lavoie, Austin M. Medeiros, and Derrick S. Mastera, 1 Great-grandson: Aiden Mastera, 1 Brother: Antone Medeiros of Fall River, 3 Sisters: Maria L. Diogo of Fall River, Helen De Costa of Swansea, and Maria C. Miranda of Westport, Several Nieces and Nephews. He was the brother of the late Jose A. Medeiros and John Medeiros.
Born in Sao Antonio, Alem Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Joao Medeiros and the late Maria (Ferreira) Medeiros. He was a resident of Fall River for most of his life. Before retiring, he was employed as a Molder for G.W. Foundry in Rehoboth, MA. He was a member of St. Michael Church, the Afonso Costa Republican Club, Rhode Island Laborers Union, and the Local 257-B Union.
His Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 North Main Street on Tuesday at 8:00A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling Hours Monday 5-9 P.M.
