Obituary

CHICOPEE – Lorraine R. (Roy) Roch Michon, 87, a longtime resident of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Holyoke on March 6, 1928, a beloved daughter of the late Wilfrid and Alberta (Cote) Roy. Her early years were spent in Holyoke before moving to Chicopee around 1969. She was employed for many years at the former Adams Plastic Company in Holyoke. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Conrad L. Roch, Jr.; and her two husbands, Conrad L. Roch, Sr. and Roger C. Michon. She leaves three children, Shirley A. Lussier and her husband, Alan, Dennis G. Roch and David N. Roch and his wife, Reine Lafleur-Roch, all of Chicopee; her six grandchildren, Scott Lussier and his wife, Lauri, Keith Lussier and his wife, Rebecca, Mandie Brouillette and her husband, Joseph, Jennifer Mardeuse and her husband, Nathan, Michael Roch and his wife, Erin, and Bryan Roch; her seven great-grandchildren, Ryan and Madison Lussier, Lori Brouillette, Kayla Roch, Shelby Brouillette, Gavin Mardeuse and Ashlyn Linnell; her two sisters, Rita Betournay of Chicopee and Doris Nadeau and her husband, Joseph, of South Hadley; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Michon, Roch and Roy families. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday morning at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 10:30 a.m.). Her Committal Service will follow at 1p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
