Rosanna M. (Lambert) Whitesell 96, of the Holiday Retirement Home, in Lincoln formerly of St. Germain Manor in Woonsocket, died February 2, 2016. Born in Woonsocket, August 10, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Elzear and Julia (Mercier) Lambert. A lifelong resident of Woonsocket except for a 7 year period in the late 1940’s and late 1950’s when she resided in Success, Arkansas with her late husband, Clyde C. Whitesell. She returned to Woonsocket after his death in 1953. She worked in various textile and manufacturing mills in the area until her retirement in 1981.
She is survived by her son, Richard C. Whitesell of Woonsocket. Rosanna was predeceased by her siblings Leo, Eugene, Henry and Joseph Lambert, Alice Gervais Beaulieu, Jean Robidoux, Rita LeCourt, Terry O’Rourke, and Lilian Champagne.
Mrs. Whitesell was a former member of the St. Germain Manor Assoc., the Royal Travelers, an avid bingo player and worker of plastic net.
Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, NE Division, Inc., 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
