Sharon Lynn Salvatore Cook, 51, of Groton passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
She was born on February 7, 1964 in New London, the daughter of Francis D. and Evelene (Watson) Salvatore. She grew up in Noank and Ledyard, graduating from Ledyard High School.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her three children, James Cook of New London and Evelene and Syria Cook both of Groton. She is also survived by her siblings, Steven Salvatore and his fiancée Maria Sadinsky of New London, Richard (Theodora) Salvatore of Norfolk VA, Michael (Gretchen) Salvatore of Colchester, Janice Salvatore of Moosup, and Casey (Timothy) Mixon of Norfolk VA. She is also survived by her former husband J.R. Cook, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 8, at 11:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1650 Route 12, Gales Ferry. Burial will follow in Avery-Stoddard Cemetery, Route 214, Ledyard.
There are no visiting hours.
