Albert R. Leos
Korean War Navy Veteran

TEWKSBURY: Albert R. Leos, age 86, a resident of Tewksbury for 55 years, passed away peacefully at the Blaire House of Tewksbury on Monday, February 1, 2016.
He was the beloved husband for 38 years of Nancy M. (Ryan) Leos, who passed away in 1995.
Born in Anaheim, California on April 8, 1929, he was the son of the late Pomposo Leos and the late Bernarda (Ruiz) Leos.
He was the youngest of ten children.
Albert was raised in Anaheim, California, and graduated from Anaheim Union High School in 1947. He later attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
In 1948, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and served during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Yellowstone. He was awarded several decorations for his active duty service including the Good Conduct Medal and the Manal Occupation Medal (Europe).
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Hewlett-Packard Company as a Class A Machinist.
Mr. Leos enjoyed spending time with his three much loved grandchildren, listening to music, playing board games, and routing for his favorite New England sports teams.
He is survived by two children, Christopher A. Leos of Springfield and Lynette M. Leos of Tewksbury; three grandchildren, Kevin P. VonKahle, Jr., Kayla M. and Kendall M. VonKahle; also many extended family members.

Family and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4th, at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. There are No Calling hours. Kindly Omit Flowers. Donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
