Janet M. (Connell) Lucier, 82, of Naples, Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Philip J. Lucier who died in 1985.
Born in Boston on June 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Moore) Connell.
Mrs. Lucier was a resident of Naples for the past 18 years and formerly resided in Medway. She grew up in Roslindale and graduated from Roslindale High School.
Before retiring to Naples, she worked at Paramount Supply in Medway and had formerly worked in the Medway Public Schools.
Mrs. Lucier was an avid golfer and Red Sox fan and enjoying travelling and spending time at the beach.
She is survived by her children, James Hagen of West Roxbury, Nancy Maguire and her husband John of Norfolk, Patrick, Philip, Jocelyn and Jill Lucier and Janine Panechelli.
She was mother of the late Debra Hagen and is also survived by her son-in-law Judd Aschenbrand of Yarmouth, nine grandchildren, Danielle Regan, Chris Aschenbrand, Matthew Barrieau, Brian and Jared Hagen, Meghan and Brenna Maguire and Hannah and Peter Robinson and her brother Robert Connell of Naples.
She was the sister of the late Dorothy Lane.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Friday, February 5 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m.
