Carolyn Marchant Knox, 73, of Locust Grove passed away Friday, January 29, 2016, at her home. A memorial service was held Monday, February 1, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, her home church for many years.
Born May 25, 1942 in Tift County, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Benjamin Harmon Marchant and Velma Hall Marchant.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Miles Knox Sr. of Locust Grove; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David and Lynn Baker, Robbie Baker, and Benji and Pam Baker; four step-children, Tamme Ayecox, Miles Knox Jr.. Steve Knox and Mike Knox; one brother and sister-in-law, Harmon and Laverne Marchant; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Sara and John Lamb, Margie Shoupe, Opal and J. R. Watson, Linda Marchant, and Sharon and Danny Renfro; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
