David J. Ramos, 67, of Litchfield, NH passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 1, 1948 in Lowell, MA son of the late Vincent and Marie Pearl (Boisvert) Ramos. Upon finishing Lowell High and having been in the work force for a couple of years, Dave entered the Army and served an extended tour in Vietnam. After his discharge, Dave entered the rapidly growing technology field, eventually retiring from Captivate Network last summer. His career began working in a shipping and receiving capacity then grew into the Purchasing world which gave him the opportunity to travel to Japan, South Korea, and Germany. He adventured into his own company, Selective Technologies, which created a communication device for the hearing impaired. During his career he was involved with his good friend in the development of an interactive biography of the Legendary Ted Williams.
Dave was an avid golfer, always aiming for that elusive hole in one...he golfed in leagues and with family and friends any time he was given the opportunity. He stepped out of his comfort zone and went camping with his boys when they were cub scouts, he coached baseball and basketball and attended years of ballet recitals for his daughter. Dave's family was his world, especially spending much time with his grandson, Dexter, exploring the world of computer games. And, most recently, Alex, who just started talking, calling out, "Hi, Papa" which gave Dave great joy.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara (MacNeil) Ramos of Litchfield, his three children, Daniel Ramos and wife Leanne of Pembroke, MA, Jon Ramos and wife Jane of Boston, MA and Jodi Ramos of Manchester, NH, two grandchildren, Dexter Ramos and Alexander Ramos, one brother, Steve Ramos and wife Naomi of Fort Lauderdale, FL, as well as nieces and nephews, Koren Pandelakis-Dunn of VA, Suzanne MacNeil of MA, Nicole Alvarado of NC, AJ MacNeil of MA and Stephen Ramos of MA.
