Eric J. Norton of Canton, passed away unexpectedly, January 31, 2016. He was 46 years old.
Beloved son of Janice A. Norton and the late Thomas J. Norton. Eric is also survived by his brother Tom Norton and his wife Kristine of Canton and his sister Janine Bartel and her husband Matthew of North Attleboro.
He will be lovingly missed by his nieces Matilyn Bartel, Sarah Bartel, Reagan Norton, and his nephew J.T. Norton. Eric graduated from Canton High School in 1987, Rennsselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in 1991, and a Masters Degree in Architecture in 1995. He followed his studies by volunteering to teach tech on a small island in the South Pacific called Pohnpei for two years.
After returning to the states he began to work in his chosen field as an architect operating his own successful company, Studio 11 Design. Eric also worked for many years for Fox Sports on their Sunday football programming as a statistician and computer graphics director.
Eric was a big man with an even bigger heart. He will be remembered by his family and his many friends as compassionate, loving, and a loyal friend, whose words of wisdom will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St, Canton, Friday February 5, from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral services and interment will be private.
