John F. McCarthy, 57, of 54 Maple St. died Friday, June 17, in UMASS Memorial Medical Center. He leaves his wife of 23 years, Patricia (Remick) McCarthy; two sons, Patrick M. McCarthy of W. Boylston and Barry W. McCarthy of Rhode Island; two daughters, Erin M. McCarthy and Mary Kate E. McCarthy both of West Boylston; a sister Maureen Padgette of Worcester. He was born in Clinton, son of William and Odile (Recor) McCarthy and graduated from West Boylston High School. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
John was a molder for over 35 years for the St. Gobain Company. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and the National Rifle Assoc.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, June, 21 from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St. with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Monday, June 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Assoc. 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701
