Hector Hernandez Benito, 36, died January 27, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital. He came to the United States from Guatemala City 14 years ago. He lived in New Bedford and raised and supported 3 sons.
He was a devoted and loving father, a kind hearted friend and a great worker. He was a expert landscaper and worked primarily in Marion, MA. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church of New Bedford.
A brain tumor was discovered last week, shortly after his initial biopsy his condition became critical. His local family and church community were by his side when he passed away on January 27th.
He will be greatly missed by his three sons, Jason age 15, Hector Jr. age 8 and 5 year old Henry.
His visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 31st from 11-2 pm at Saunders Dwyer Home at 495 Park St. New Bedford, MA 02740.
