Rose Romano passed away on January 27, 2016. She was 93 years old.
Rose was a longtime resident of Malden and Melrose. She worked for the Malden Public Schools Lunch Program for many years and was devoted to her family and grandchildren. Rose loved to travel with her husband to places such as Europe, Alaska, South Africa, and most recently her trip to Italy for a family reunion.
Rose was the devoted wife of the late Natale Romano. She was the beloved mother of Natalie Cinelli and her husband Ronald of Las Vegas, NV, Angela Zimmerman and her husband Edwin “Skip” of Malden, Juliann Tobin and her husband Daniel of Braintree, and Anthony Romano and his wife Patricia of Groveland. Rose was the sister of Vincent, Anthony, Grace, and Pasquale Cavalieri, Virginia Welch and the late Mary Jesi, Angela Lorino and Elvira Cavalieri. She was the cherished grandmother to 8 grandchildren and the late Stephanie Cinelli, and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday February 3rd at 8:00a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church 770 Salem Street, Malden at 9:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday February 2nd from 4-8p.m. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
