NATICK: Cornelia M. “Connie” (Bleiler) Rollins, age 79, died peacefully on Wednesday morning, January 27, 2016, at her Natick home. She was the devoted wife of Theodore E. Rollins for 58 years.
Born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain, she was the only child of the late George C. and Helen (Cornell) Bleiler. A member of the original class of Saint Andrew the Apostle School in Forest Hills, Connie was actually the recipient of the very first 8th grade diploma awarded by the school. She was graduated from Cathedral High School in the South End in 1954. Connie and Ted were married on May 26, 1957.
The Rollinses settled in Natick in 1965, and Cornelia set about creating a warm and loving home for her growing family. She was a devoted member of Saint Linus Parish, loved dogs, and was an extreme Red Sox fan.
She is survived by Ted; their daughter, Deborah Ann Rollins of Abilene, TX; their son, Stephen E. Rollins and his wife Maria Lucia of Holden; and two much loved grandchildren, Sean and Amanda Rollins.
Her funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Tuesday, February 2nd at 9AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Linus Church, 119 Hartford Street, Natick, at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be Monday, 4 -7PM. Donations may be made in Cornelia’s memory to the Good Shepherd Community Hospice, 90 Wells Avenue, Newton, MA 02459.
