Joan P. (Finn) Fisher, a lifelong resident of North Andover passed away on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016.
Joan was born on January 30, 1932 to the late David and Kathryn (Ward) Finn. She graduated from Johnson High School in 1949 and was employed in the offices of A.B. Sutherland in Lawrence and also modeled in their fashion shows. Later she was employed at First Essex Savings as an Administrative Assistant to the President. She was also a member of the Savings Bank Women of Massachusetts. Joan was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles and sharing books with her friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Fisher.
Joan is survived by her nephews Robert Gesing and his wife Deborah of North Andover; David Finn of Springfield, MA; and nieces Mrs. Lee (Gesing) Briggs and her husband David of Barnstead, NH and Miss Diane Finn of Dunwoody, GA.
She is also survived by her great nieces Mrs. Jennifer Fields and her husband Sean of Andover, NH and Erica Gesing Roeck and her husband Jason of Enfield, CT.
Joan was predeceased by her sister, Mrs. Allen (Barbara) Gesing; her Brothers, D. Warren Finn and Robert W. Finn.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Sutton Hill Nursing Home of North Andover for their kindness.
Her wake and service will be held at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover, MA on Tuesday, February 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a service at 11:30 in the Funeral Home. There will be a private burial to follow.
