WORCESTER: Bernard P. Moylan, 67, of 113 Country Club Blvd., died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 41years, Kathleen R. (McNally) Moylan; two sons, John J. Moylan and Francis P. Moylan, both of Worcester; two daughters, Christine M. Roy and her husband Todd Roy of Auburn, Mary T. Moylan also of Auburn; five sisters, Mary Tangney of Worcester, Phyllis White of Shrewsbury; Beverly Ritchie of Rutland, Joan Zawalick of Duxbury, and Deborah Moylan of South Dennis; four grandchildren, Erica Roy, Alex Roy, Chelsie Doran and Sydney Doran, all of Auburn; many nieces and nephews. Six brothers, John J. Moylan, Jr., Robert L. Moylan, Sr., Richard P. Moylan, Sr., Donald F. Moylan, Sr., David S. Moylan, and Paul Moylan, all predeceased him.
He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late John J. Moylan, Sr. and Edna (MacGlory) Moylan. He graduated from Commerce High School and was a U. S. Army Veteran.
Bernie worked many years at Johnson Steel and Wire Company in Worcester. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and an avid sports fan. He also enjoyed reading, walking, and spending time with his family.
CALLING HOURS will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 19, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June. 20 in ST. JOAN OF ARC CHURCH, 570 Lincoln St., followed by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. The family suggests donations in Bernie's memory be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
