Laconia-----Jane Eunice Wright, age 79, of Laconia, NH, died on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the Laconia Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 12, 1936 in Dorchester, MA, the daughter of the late Irving Beaton and Gene Sawyer (McCarthy).
Jane enjoyed working with arts and crafts. She was also fond of animals especially birds. She will be remembered as a humble and kind woman who was a mother to all, often taking in people who had no other place to go.Her greatest love, though, was her own children who always came first in her heart.
Members of the family include her two sons, James E. Wright of Concord, NH and Eugene I. Wright and his wife Sheri of Braintree, VT; three daughters, Eleanor V. and her husband Harry A. Welch Jr. of Center Harbor, Mary A. Wright-Emond of Lebanon, NH and Jo-Ann Kay Marie Wright of Center Harbor; one sister, Mary Gunther and her husband John of Pembroke; twelve grandchildren, Jamie, Jennifer, Jason, Justin, Kevin, Timothy, Shayna, Patrick, Ryan, Chloe, Theodora and Braden. Jane is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband Roland V. Wright who died in 1996.
A graveside service will take place in May at the Union Cemetery, Academy St, Laconia, NH.
