Peter F. Richard, 55 of Waterman Avenue, Johnston, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the husband of Linda M. (McCoy) Richard.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Peter and Doris (Lamontagne) Richard. He had lived in Johnston for many years.
He had worked as a mechanic for the Providence Journal for 35 years before retiring. He was a member of Teamsters Local #251 and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He made Para cord bracelets as a fundraiser at Johnston High School for Autism Awareness.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children: Tyler and Amanda Richard both of Johnston, his siblings: Marie Tobin of Burrillville, Russell Richard of Scituate, Jeanne Leandro of Virginia and Robert Richard of Johnston.
A mass of christian burial will be held Saturday at 10am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Visitation omitted. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society
