STANDISH- “Bob” Robert Raymond Jensen, age 72, of Standish, passed away on Jan. 25, 2016 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
He was born in Portland on Aug. 14, 1943, a son of the late Harry and Josephine (Terzevich) Jensen.
After graduating from Cheverus, Bob went on to serve in the National Guard.
Bob worked for 38 years as a equipment installer for New England Telephone and the companies that it merged into, most recently Verizon.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, horse-racing, and traveling. One of Bob and Louise's favorite trips was a cruise from Australia to Hawaii.
Bob is predeceased by his sister, Gloria Lailer.
He is survived by his beloved wife- Louise (Lemaire) Jensen; children- Deborah Keith and her husband Bill of Standish and Stacey Jensen and her companion Travis King of Windham; his brother- Richard Jensen and his wife Bette of South Portland; grandchildren- Tyler and Marissa and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Jan. 29, from 4-6 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 919 Roosevelt Trail (Rt. 302), North Windham.
