Kathleen A. (Curley) Fritchy, age 89 of Methuen passed away on January 19, 2016 at her late residence. Mrs. Fritchy was born on May 2, 1926 in Lawrence to the late James and Margaret (Dineen) Curley. Kathleen was a long time assembler at EJ Systems of Lawrence. She loved playing bingo at St. Patrick’s Church, Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Theresa’s Church and the Lowell Elks. Mrs. Fritchy enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late Albert Fritchy Sr. with whom she shared 24 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Edward Fritchy and his wife Sue of FL, Albert Fritchy Jr. and his wife Michelle of New Hampshire, James Fritchy and his wife Carolyn of Methuen, Mark Fritchy and his wife Maureen of Haverhill, and Timothy Fritchy of Marlborough. Kathleen was the dear sister of the late Mary Mawson, the late Marion Mammino, the late Noreen Sweeney, and the late James Curley. Mrs. Fritchy was the loving grandmother of many and the cherished great grandmother of several. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A funeral service will take place immediately following the calling hours at the funeral home beginning promptly at 2:00 PM. Per the family request there will be no interment.
