Obituary

New Bedford – Paul E. Audette, 68, of New Bedford died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was husband of Patricia A. (Podzielny) Audette.

He was born in Montreal, Canada, son of the late Hilaire and Beatrice (Ricard) Audette, and had resided in the New Bedford area for most of his life. Mr. Audette was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army, where he earned the Good Conduct Medal. He was employed as a printer for Colorique of Wareham for over 10 years. He loved the ocean, enjoyed eating hot dogs and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Including his wife he is survived by 3 daughters: Karen R. Racine of New Bedford, Paula J. Wilding of Tiverton and Denise C. Costa of Westport; 2 step-sons: John Fernandes of Fall River and Al Fernandes of New Bedford; 3 step-daughters: Dolores A. Daviski of New Bedford, Gina Bourassa of New Bedford and Linda Lucio of Fairhaven; a brother: Albert Audette of Westport; 2 sisters: Eva Craveiro of Fall River and Huguette Y. Soucy of New Bedford; 13 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the stepfather of the late William C. Fernandes and the brother of the late Roland Audette and Delia Rose.

Funeral Services, Saturday, June 18, 2005 at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford at 10:00 A.M.

Interment in Acushnet Cemetery, Acushnet.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
