Louisa C. Gendron, 90, of Derry, NH, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Center in Manchester, NH. She was born in Auburn, ME on October 29, 1925, a daughter of Antonio and Marieanna (Marcoux) Celani, and had been a resident of Derry for the past four years, formerly living in Londonderry and Manchester, NH. Louisa was involved in the community of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, Londonderry and formerly an active member of St. Thecla Parish in Pembroke. MA.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Richard P. Gendron of Derry; her son, Philip R. Gendron and his wife Christine of Plymouth, MA; her daughter, Michele L. LaCerda and her husband Kevin of Londonderry, NH; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelina Pouzol of Lewiston, ME and Stella Truchon of Lewiston, ME, as well as many nieces and nephews. Louisa was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Ann Willwerth; two sisters, Marietta Wyman and Ramona Rock, and her brother, Antonio Celani, Jr.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, January 27th from 5 to 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Liturgy of Christian burial was celebrated on the 28th at 10am in St. Mark the Evangelist Church, One South Road, Londonderry. The burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry.
