JOAN MARIE (BRYAN) GAHAFER, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
She was a homemaker and member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Preceding her in death was her devoted husband of 52 years, Daniel J. Gahafer, Sr.; her brother, Tom “Sonny” ; and sisters, Laverne and Doris “Dot”.
Survivors include her children, Dan Gahafer, Jr. (Pamela), Donald “Otis” Gahafer (Karen), David “Doc” Gahafer (Theresa), Dolores “Deede” Gaines (Garnet-deceased), Darlene “Lolly” Gahafer, Deana Burdette (Joe) and Debbie Allgood Stone (Joe); grandchildren, Aaron, Lyndsay, Dalton, Tori, Keisha, Amy, Ben, Daniel, David, Jared, Denver, Mitchell, August, and A. J.; great grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Tanner, Lindsey, Michaela, Trey, McKenna, Danny and Damion; and her loving sister-in-law, Patricia Bryan.
Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4005 Dixie Highway with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 2:00–8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
