Theresa A. Dufour, 89, formerly of Tanglewood Lane, North Providence died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Ballou Home in Woonsocket. She was the beloved widow of Eugene H. Dufour to whom she was married for 42 years.
Born in Pawtucket, she was one of fourteen children of the late Wallace and Antonia (Jourdanais) Aunchman. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune.
She was the beloved and devoted mother of her children: Jeanine T. Lucia and her husband, Fred of Warwick, Nancy A. Brigham and her husband, Joe of North Attleboro, MA, Michael E. Dufour and his wife, Sharon of Wilbraham, MA. She was the Memere of her six beloved grandchildren: Emily and Brian Brigham, Jeffrey and Thomas Dufour , Jessica Lucia and Elizabeth Bitgood and great grandmother of five. She is also survived by a sister of Irene Goudreau of Pawtucket.
Her funeral service Saturday at 11:30am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Saturday 9:30-11:30am. Burial at a later date in the RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906
