Obituary

Richard V. Lussier, 85, of Merrimack, died January 22, 2016, at Dartmouth Hospital, Lebanon, after complications from an accident, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Lowell, MA on September 14, 1930, he was the son of Henri and Lillian (St. Onge) Lussier. He was educated in Lowell and was a resident for many years.
He worked for 30 years as an electrician for Cartier Electric and retired in 1995.
Richard enjoyed camping, hunting, and long drives with his family. He was happiest when spending time with his wife and family, a true family man. He was dedicated and devoted, a “softie” with a big heart. Over all he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Family members include his loving wife of 65 years, Rita F. (Boucher) Lussier of Merrimack; four daughters, Elaine Shea and husband James of Falls Church, VA, Jeannette Lussier and husband Valentine Connell of Pasadena, MD, Lisa Baron and husband Richard of Weare, and Linda Provencher and husband Donald of Merrimack, NH; three sons, Normand Lussier and wife Sharon of Port St. Lucie, FL, Raymond Lussier and wife JoAnne of Weare, and Richard Lussier and wife Gale of Pembroke; seventeen grandchildren; over twenty great and great great grandchildren; two brothers, Edmund Lussier and wife Joanne of Dracut, MA, and Henri Lussier of San Antonio, TX; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Victor Lussier.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The charity of one’s choice.
