Devoted father of Elizabeth Hulbert and her husband George of Roslindale, Walter Greene and his wife Mary of Medfield, Mary MacEachern and her husband Mark of Attleboro, Robert Greene of Roslindale, Timothy Greene and his wife Christine of Mashpee, Stephen Greene and his wife Julia of Milton, and Patricia Goodale and her husband Michael of Carver. Loving grandfather of Laurie Ellis, Daniel Hulbert, Katherine Greene, and Bridget Greene. Great-grandfather of Nathan Ellis. Brother of George Greene of Douglas and the late Anna Robinson, Mary Cove, and Elizabeth Greene. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Korean War Veteran, U.S. Air Force. Past Commander of the Irving Adams American Legion Post 36. Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus John J. Williams Council 1308 and member of the DAV.
Funeral from the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home, Monday, Jan. 25 from 4-8pm. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
