Susan D. (Shippee) Burlingame, 68, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.
Her husband of nearly 42 years, Donald E. ’Donnie’ Burlingame, Jr. died April 14, 2012.
She leaves behind two sons; Colonel Brian S. Burlingame and his wife Allison of Southern Pines, N.C., and Joshua J. Burlingame and his fiancée Jennifer Ricker of Charlton, 4 grandchildren, 4 sisters, Carol, Sandy, Becky and Cindy and many nieces and nephews.
Susan was born in Southbridge, the daughter of the late Warren Carlos and Andrea Beatrice (Tetreault) Shippee and lived in Charlton for many years.
She worked years ago at the former American Optical Co. and for many years was a CNA at the Overlook Masonic Home and Radius Healthcare.
Susan enjoyed reading, especially Robert Ludlum books, going to the casino, dancing and going to Point Judith Lighthouse.
Calling Hours for Susan will be Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5-8PM, with a Service at 6PM in The ROBERT J.MILLER-CHARLTON FUNERAL HOME, 175 Old Worcester Rd. Burial will be Friday in West Ridge Cemetery next to Donnie.
