Robert F. Wiebke

Robert Frederick Wiebke, 88, of Anderson, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Bethany Pointe Health Care in Anderson.
He was born on September 6, 1927 in Ft. Wayne, the son of Fred W. and Edna L. (Kammeier) Wiebke.
He attended South Side High School in Ft. Wayne and later Indiana University. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers from 1950-52. He was employed by Guide Lamp Division of General Motors from February 6,1956 until retiring October 1, 1990. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where he had served as treasurer and was an active volunteer over the years. He was an adult Boy Scout Leader for many years with troop 322 from 5th Street United Methodist Church and he was an avid I.U. sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Anderson) Wiebke, a son, John R. (wife Ingrid) Wiebke, two grandchildren, Rebecca and Jesper Wiebke; two nephews, Steve and Jim Richards and niece, Libby Richards Mitchell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Elaine Wiebke and Doris Ann Murphy.
Services will be Saturday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church; 2751 North Scatterfield Road; Anderson, IN 46012; with Pastor John Jameson officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park.
Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m.
