Kenneth G. Arthur, 72, of Sagamore Beach, formerly of Walpole died on January 15th at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth after a long illness. He was the husband of Pat (Crown) Arthur.
Born in Uigg, Prince Edward Island, Canada, August 3, 1943, he was the son of the late Kenneth W. and Olive M. (MacLeod) Arthur. He came to Walpole in 1956 living there until moving to Sagamore Beach for his retirement in 2013.
He was a 1961 graduate of Walpole High School.
Mr. Arthur owned and operated Office Management and Consulting, Inc. in Walpole for many years.
He served as Tax Collector for the Town of Walpole for six years during the 1980’s.
Long active in the Town of Walpole he also served for many years as a Representative Town Meeting Member.
He was a member of the Walpole Lions Club, the Walpole Chamber of Commerce, the Azure Masonic Lodge AF & AM of Walpole and the Walpole Odd Fellows IOOF.
A talented craftsman, he enjoyed countless home improvement projects at his home throughout the years.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Sandi LaCasse of Sagamore Beach and his son Rob Arthur and his wife Moriah of Baltimore, Maryland.
He was the father of the late Kimberly Arthur.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jack, Carly, Tyler, Samuel and Elouise.
He was the brother of Pamela Huguelet and her husband David and Heather Pezold of Walpole.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 21 at Terrace Hill Cemetery, South Walpole at 11:30 a.m.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, January 20th in the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main Street, Walpole from 4-7 p.m.
