Annie Lee Champion Vickery, 101, of Coffeeville, MS, teacher, wife, mother, friend, and retiree of Grenada Industries, died June 13, 2005, in the Yalobusha Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the First Baptist Church in Coffeeville. Officiating the service will be Brother Donnie Stewart and Brother Daniel Hathorne. Visitation will be at Seven Oaks Funeral Home, Highway 32, Water Valley on Wednesday, June 15 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Pallbearers are: Edward L. "Eddie" Pipkin, John Oscar "Buddy" Adams, Kyley Holloway, Jodie Burk, Tony Bell and Thomas J. "T.J." Pipkin. Hororary pallbearers are: Floyd Boyle, Jr, Edward C. Pipkin, William McCullar, Larry Gray, Rufus Gray, Jr, and Noel L. "Pug" Bell. Interment will follow in the Coffeeville Cemetery.
Daughter of the late Sidney Andrew Champion and Ida Lee Hendricks Champion, she was born in Lafayette County on January 3, 1904.
Mrs. Vickery, the widow of Vernon Eugene Vickery, is survived by two daughters Margaret Vickery Edwards of Bartett, TN and Shirley Vickery Blackwell of Farmville, VA; her beloved son-in-law, Marvin R. Edwards; one sister, Dovie Champion Burk of Water Valley, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also surviving are her adopted families--her dear friend Mrs. Thomas Floyd Boyle, Sr. (Hollie) and her children, Barbara Boyle Mashburn, Floyd Boyle, Jr, and Hollie Field Boyle Bell and their families; Edward and Lynda B. Pipkin and their sons, Eddie and T. J.; and Nancy LaCook.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to the charlty of the donor's choice.
