Joseph E Galante passed away peacefully at home. He was 82. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Ghiozzi) Galante. Joe enjoyed a long career at Kennedy's Department Store where he was the display director. Joseph was devoted to his family and was a good brother, uncle, friend and neighbor.
He is survived by his sister Virginia Mucci of Wilmington, Edward H. Galante and his wife Angela of North Andover. He was a caring uncle to Vincent Mucci and his wife Carol, Edward Mucci and his wife Linda, Richard Mucci and his wife Kristine, Debra Taromino and her husband Frank, Edward Galante and his wife Jamie, Paul and Steven Galante. He also leaves many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Tuesday, January 19th at 9 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in Saint Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 through 8 PM. Interment will be private.
