Margaret Hutchinson Davis, 75, of Tifton passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. A eulogy will be given by Jimmy Parker. Ms. Davis will be laid to rest at Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Cook County. The family will receive friends Monday, January 18, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ronnie Taylor, Tim Taylor, Johnny Skinner, Steven Bennett, Jamie Spires and Ryan Taylor will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Copeland, Scott Bjordal and Bill Alley.
Born May 6, 1940 in Irwin County, Ms. Davis was the daughter of the late Clarence T. Hutchinson and Julia Vandiveer Hutchinson. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Stone and an infant brother. She graduated from Cook County High School and was retired. She attended Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Cook County.
Ms. Davis is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William L. Jr. and Charlotte Webb of Tifton; a brother, Gene Hutchinson of Sparks; five sisters, Sue Spires, Judy Hutchinson, Elizabeth Johnson and Linda Hutchinson, all of Sparks and Debra Bennett of Adel; three grandchildren, Cass Baker, Carlie Purvis and her husband, Lance and Caroline Baker, all of Tifton; and two great-grandsons, Brantley Purvis and Bryson Purvis.
