Robert Lamar Armstrong

ANDERSON -Robert Lamar Armstrong, 58, died At Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation after a courageous battle with Huntington's Disease.
He was born June 28, 1957, in Paris, Ill., to Jackie D. and Ida Rose (Forsythe) Armstrong.
He was a correctional officer for the Pendleton Reformatory for four years and a truck driver for Sysco Foods for 16 years.
Robert loved karate and earned a black belt from the Komaki Academy of Karate.
He was a loving husband and father who always put his family first.
Survivors include his wife, Debra (McCoy) Armstrong of Anderson, whom he married July 20, 1974; two daughters, Kristi (Joe) Graves of Anderson and Misty Walker of Alexandria; sister, Gretchen (Mike) Patterson of Markleville; four grandchildren, Josie and Lucas Graves and Zachary and Taylor Walker and a great grandchild due February 1; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dedrick Armstrong.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
