Obituary

Augusta, GA, Mr. David Lee Duvall, 68, entered into rest on January 12, 2016 at his home.
Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon, January 16, at 2:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. J. Andrew Menger officiating.

David was a lifelong resident of Augusta. He was a graduate of Aquinas High School and attended Brewton Parker College. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force reserves and taught many local pilots to fly as a flight instructor at Daniel Field Airport. He retired from Club Car after a lengthy successful career as a Regional Manager.

David had many hobbies including gun collecting, photography, and, his greatest passion, flying. Before he stopped flying he became known as the "Red Baron" around town because of his bright red Pitts S2B Bi-Plane. During this time he was spotted in the Augusta skies most every weekend.

David was the son of Carleton Leroy Duvall and the late Genevieve Rice Duvall as well as the older brother of Rosie Speer and Laura Duvall, all of Augusta. Survivors include his two children, David Avera Duvall of Martinez and Paige Leigh Duvall of Charleston, SC and two grandchildren, Rebecca Bailey Duvall and Hampton David Duvall, both of Martinez.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local charity that was dearest to him: The Child Advocacy Center, Child Enrichment, Inc. P.O. Box 12036, Augusta, GA 30914-2036, http://www.childenrichment.org/our-charities/donate.

The family will receive friends after the graveside service at Westover Memorial Park.
