New Bedford – Carolina (Adriano) Vieira passed away June 11, 2005 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel Vieira and mother of Ana Maria and Husband Fernando Machado of New Bedford, Amanda and Husband Carlos Amaral of E. Providence, R.I. Angie Costa of Dartmouth, Gabriela Medeiros, of New Bedford, Delores and Husband Tony Torres of New Bedford, Caroline and Husband Joe Torres of Dartmouth, Joe Vieira and Wife Amelia of New Bedford, Amando Vieira of New Bedford and Manuel Vieira Jr. and Wife Encarnacao of New Bedford She is also survived by 23 Grandchildren, 31 Greatgrandchildren and 1 Greatgranddaughter several nieces and nephews. She is the sister of John Medeiros Adriano of Fairhaven, Ermelinda Carreiro, and Silvina Vassal both of New Bedford .
Mrs. Vieira was born in Fairhaven, Mass., the daughter of the late Serafim Medeiros and Ermelinda Julia (Machado) Vieira. She was formerly employed at Made Well as a stitcher. She was a member of the Mt.Carmel Sisters of the Rosary.
Mrs. Vieira’s funeral will be Wednesday June 15, 2005, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Mt.Carmel Church at 9 AM Visiting hours will be Tuesday June 14, 2005 from 5 to 8 P.M. Burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery.
