Jane Farrah Nader, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 10, 2016, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, Mass. She was born in Lawrence, Mass. on August 30, 1923 and was joined in marriage with the love of her life, the late Fred Nader, on July 16, 1955. Jane is survived by her children, Maryanne Nader and her significant other, Jim Allen, William Nader, Fred Nader, Jr. and his wife, Alisa, and Christine Waldren; sisters, Helen Abdo, Irene Farrah and Elizabeth, wife of Richard Picard; seven grandchildren, Martina, William Jr., Evan, Natasha, Austin, Michael, Farrah; and many nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her sisters, Marian Petzy and Eleanor Farrah; brothers, Louis and Robert Farrah.
Jane's devotion to her family and unwavering belief in God inspired and motivated her to always be the best wife, mother, sister, aunt, Sitho and parishioner she could be. Everything she did was done with care and pride, including working with her husband and children in their family business, Nader’s Meat Market, hosting family gatherings at their home in Salem, New Hampshire, preparing delicious meals, and sending thoughtful cards and handmade gifts to those she loved. She honored her husband Fred's memory throughout her life and loved to reflect on all of the wonderful times they shared. Jane lived in Naples, Florida for twenty years, where she enjoyed a healthy and active lifestyle of swimming, playing cards, and watching her beloved Red Sox. She moved back to Lawrence in 2013, bringing the sunshine and a positive attitude with her wherever she went. For Jane, it was always sunny and "life couldn't be any better than this," especially when surrounded by family. Jane was a true embodiment of sunshine, love, sincerity and kindness whose smile and laughter could light up a room and whose hugs and kisses were a perfect expression of the immense love and affection she felt for her loved ones. Her zest for life, love of family and beautiful spirit will live on forever.
