Kathleen Ester (Shanahan) Forrand, 66, of East Bridgewater earned her angel wings on Friday January 8th, after a lengthy illness. She was the devoted and loving wife of 46 years to Jerold Forrand. She was the daughter of the late John F. and Maude (Burbine) Shanahan, mother of the late Kimberly Marie Forrand, sister of the Jack Shanahan and Maureen Shanahan.
In addition to her husband Jerold, Kathy leaves behind her three sons and their families, Joel and Robin Forrand of Woodlands, TX, Kevin and Colleen Forrand of Danvers, Robert Forrand and his fiancée Kimberly Bevens of Brockton. She was the devoted grandmother to Melissa Aylward, Kimberly Cox-Forrand, Owen Forrand, Kevin Bevens-Sullivan, Ava Forrand and Kassidy Bevens-Forrand, sister of Judy Hodgkins of Rockland, Robert Shanahan and his wife Sheila of Whitman, her sister-in-law Nancy (Clark) Shanahan of Whitman and many nieces, nephews and her extended family, survives Kathy.
Her funeral services will be held on Saturday January 16th at 10:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on Friday January 15th from 5:00-8:00PM.
