Obituary

Hazel M. (Dolan) Pisano, 85, of Franklin died January 11 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Louis A. Pisano for the past 57 years.
Born in Norwood, September 8, 1930, the daughter of the late former Foxboro Police Chief Dennis F. Dolan and Kathleen (Begor) Dolan, Mrs. Pisano was raised in Foxboro and had lived in Franklin for the past 57 years.
She is a 1949 graduate of Foxboro High School and a 1953 graduate of Carney Hospital School of Nursing.
A Registered Nurse, Mrs. Pisano had worked at the former Franklin Skilled Nursing Home and also at the Wrentham Developmental Center.
Hazel enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting and crocheting.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Joseph P. Pisano and his wife Patricia A. Pisano of Medway and Theresa K. Shanks and her husband Robert of North Attleboro.
She is also survived by her grandson Derek Shanks.
Mrs. Pisano is also survived by her siblings, Francis Dolan of South Attleboro, Sandra Dolan of Easton and Marlene Cochrane of North Attleboro.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 18 in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
Visitation will be in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
