Obituary

Jeannette E. (Armstrong) Padula , 79, of Franklin died suddenly, January 10 at her home. She was the wife of the late Francis “Frank” E. Padula who died in 1992.
Born in Bellingham, February 27, 1936, the daughter of the late Adam and Dorothy (Carney) Armstrong, Mrs. Padula was raised in Bellingham and had lived in Franklin since 1952.
Mrs. Padula had been an electronics technician for the Waters Corporation before retiring. She had previously worked at Penthouse Sales in Franklin.
Jeannette had been a member of the St. Mary’s Church prayer group. She had done a great deal of volunteer work over the years and enjoyed knitting.
She is survived by her children, Peter E. Padula and his wife Laurie of Franklin, Paul F. Padula and his wife Glenda of Plainville and Pauline Padula Babbitt of Plainville.
She was the mother of the late Perry Padula.
She is also survived by her siblings, John Armstrong of Blackstone, Maryjane Gravel of Blackstone and Adam “Butch” Armstrong of Texas. She was the sister of the late Robert, Richard, William and Thomas Armstrong and Estelle Savageau and Patricia Dusablon.
Jeannette is also survived by her grandchildren, Mindy, Paul, Russell, Francis, Peter, Bradley and Daniel and her great-grandchildren, Parker, Lachlan, Alistair and Phoebe.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 16 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
