RAYMOND C. “RAY” WELCH, 88, passed away on January 11, 2016.
He was a retired employee of American Air Filter, a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, and an Army Air Corps veteran of WW II.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary, parents, Martin and Helen Welch, his son-in-law, Dr. James Killingbeck, brother, Richard Welch, and sisters, Catherine Burns and June Cole.
Survivors include his children, Glenda Rae Killingbeck, Michael Welch (Iris), Patty Seibert (Tim), Susan Jett (Tony), Stephen Welch (Renee) and Maureen Welch; grandchildren, Mary Beth (Drew), Ann Marie (Florian), Sarah Rae, Michael, Stephen, Ryan, Tyler (Ashley), Hannah, Brent, Mackenzie, Morgan and Alexia; great grandchildren, Charlie, Henry, Kylie and Adrien; and his brother, Ted Welch (Dele).
His funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 5505 New Cut Road with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
