Martha N. (House) McLaughlin Hardacre, 93, of Anderson died January 8, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
Martha was born January 18, 1922 in Walnut Grove, Hamilton County, Indiana to Nellie (Hawkins) and Charles O. House.
She was a homemaker, member of First United Methodist Church, Women's Club and Victoria Guild. She was an accomplished pianist and loved gardening.
She is survived by her three children, Charlotte (Clifford) Baker of Southport, NC; Halford McLaughlin of Anderson and James (Sherry) McLaughlin; three grandchildren, Steve Baker, John Baker and Jennifer Guynn; six great grandchildren, Benjamin Baker, Mitchell Baker, Madeline Baker, Katelynn Guynn, Vanessa Guynn and Jessica Baker; sister, Phyllis Hartley of Goshen; stepson, Jerry (Carol) Hardacre; five step-grandchildren, David Hardacre, Lori Hardacre, Amy Stohler, Lisa Swinford and Jon Hardacre; nieces and nephews, Mike Rogers, Karon Kardatzke, Douglas Cortrecht, Kay Wallace, Teresa Baker, Tonya Todd, Chinita Stalzer, Dean Hartley, Bill House, Allen House, Kermit House and Kent House.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two spouses, Lowell Halford McLaughlin and H. Wilbur Hardacre; six siblings, Glen House, Robert House, Lucille Frank, Edna Rogers, Janet Cortrecht, Ralph House; two stepsons- Bill Hardacre and Lowell Hardacre.
Private graveside services will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating.
Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the funeral arrangements.
